Abstract
A general and robust transition-metal-catalyzed Pauson-Khand reaction is achieved in the presence of lithium chloride. The effect of lithium chloride on Pauson-Khand reactions catalyzed by palladium(II) chloride-tetramethylthiourea allows the efficient preparation of structurally diverse cyclopentenones.
