Abstract

Silver triflate is an efficient catalyst for the cyclopropenation of internal alkynes using donor-/acceptor-substituted diazo compounds as carbenoid precursors to yield highly substituted cyclopropenes, which cannot be synthesized directly via rhodium(II)-catalyzed carbenoid chemistry.
