Abstract

Propargylamines have been synthesized by a gold(III) salen complex-catalyzed three-component coupling reaction of aldehydes, amines, and alkynes in water in excellent yields at 40C. With chiral prolinol derivatives as the amine component, excellent diastereoselectivities have been attained.
