Abstract
PdEDTA immobilized in an ionic liquid brush is an efficient and reusable catalyst in a green procedure for coupling aryl iodides and bromides with phenylboronic acid in water under aerobic conditions. The protocol provides excellent yields even with water-insoluble or solid aryl halides. There was no apparent loss of catalyst efficiency until the 10th cycle.
