Abstract

Pd0/C exhibited excellent catalytic activity in the oxidation of styrene derivatives to corresponding ketones with hydrogen peroxide as oxidant. This modified Wacker oxidation is cost-efficient and environmentally friendly and avoids the use of a copper salt as a co-catalyst.
