Abstract

The use of [Ce(l-Pro)2]2 (Oxa) as recyclable heterogeneous catalyst enables the preparation of 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives from anthranilamide and several aldehydes under mild conditions in ethanol at 50-55°C. The catalyst can be recycled and reused three times without significant loss of catalytic activity.
