Abstract
Copper aluminate nanoparticles catalyze a multicomponent click reaction between organic azides (generated in situ from epoxides or halides) and terminal aliphatic or aromatic alkynes to provide 1,4-disubstituted (β-hydroxy)-1,2,3-triazoles in very good yields in an aqueous medium without the need for a reducing agent. The catalyst could be easily separated by simple filtration, recycled, and reused.
