Abstract
An asymmetric Wolff rearrangement reaction directly converts α-diazoketones into broadly useful chiral α,α-disubstituted carboxylic esters with high enantioselectivities using visible-light-induced formation of the ketene intermediate and a readily available benzotetramisole-type catalyst for the asymmetric ketene esterification.
