Abstract

A combination of KOH and BEt₃ catalyzes a deaminative hydroboration of acyl-iminodibenzyl derivatives, including nonheterocyclic carboxamides, to the corresponding amines. This novel transition-metal-free methodology was also applied to the hydroboration/reduction of aldehydes.
