Abstract
The use of hypervalent iodine(III) carboxylates as alkylating agents enables a highly site-selective alkylation of heteroarene N-oxides the presence of a cheap copper catalyst under visible light conditions. This mild method proceeds at room temperature in an air atmosphere.
