Abstract
Chiral BAC structures catalyze a highly enantioselective intermolecular Stetter reaction with simple aldehydes and enones. The products were generated in good yields and enantioselectivities. Surprisingly, a substoichiometric amount of water was crucial to obtain high enantioselectivities.
