Abstract

2,2,2-trifluoroacetaldehyde O-(aryl)oxime releases CF₃CN in quantitative yield under mildly basic conditions. 2,2,2-trifluoroacetaldehyde O-(aryl)oxime was successfully used in the synthesis of trifluoromethylated oxadiazoles.
