Abstract
The reaction of donor-acceptor cyclopropanes with potassium p-toluenethiosulfonate enables a facile and efficient route to dithiolanes in good yields with high functional group tolerance. Upon treatment with an excess of mCPBA, the corresponding dithiolanes delivered four-membered thietane dioxides.
