Abstract

A visible light mediated coupling of benzoic acid derivatives with alkenes provides dihydrochalcone via deoxygenation using diphenyl sulfide as O-transfer reagent. Under mild photoredox conditions, a series of dihydrochalcone derivatives were produced in good yields.
