Abstract
Using FeCl3 as catalyst, a photoinduced ligand-to-metal charge transfer facilitates the generation of O-radicals from nonactivated cyclic alcohols, a subsequent β-scission, and finally a radical trapping. This mildly base-free system enables an amination of a broad substrate scope with high yields.
