Abstract
A cyclopentadienyliron dicarbonyl complex catalyzes a functionalization of the C(sp2)-H bonds of monosubstituted alkylallenes with aldehydes in the presence of triisopropylsilyl triflate to provide 1,1-disubstituted allenylic triisopropylsilyl ethers in good yields. Lithium bistriflimide was identified as a critical additive in this transformation.
