Abstract

Nickel-catalyzed hydroamination and hydroalkoxylation of enelactams with unactivated amines and alcohols provide hydrofunctionalized products in very good yields with good functional group tolerance. Furthermore, an intramolecular hydroalkoxylation of an enelactam was also realized. tBuI plays a crucial roles as a hydride donor and radical precursor.
