Abstract

Cyclizations of allenyl aldehydes and intermolecular couplings of allenes and aldehydes provide homoallylic alcohols. The couplings and cyclizations involve the use of diorganozinc reagents as reducing agents and Ni(COD)₂ as the catalyst.
