Abstract

Chiral α-(carbamoyloxy)alkylcopper reagents, prepared using Hoppe's sBuLi/(-)-sparteine methodology and subsequent transmetalations with ZnCl₂ and CuCN, reacted with various electrophiles to give enantiomerically pure alcohols after deprotection.
